The Mission of Alight Doula & Healing is to bring peace and empowerment to the pivotal processes of pregnancy, birth, and post-partum. This is achieved through the following principles:

Healing – Life, and birth, can be an incredible healing journey. We become the best parents we can be when we truly look at ourselves and let go of what no longer serves us. We use proven tools to navigate this journey with grace and ease.

Safety – Birth should be physically, emotionally, spiritually, and systemically safe. We combine medical evidence, traditional wisdom, informed advocacy and spiritual principles to ensure the holistic safety of the entire birthing family.

Empowerment – Birth is empowering! Becoming a parent is empowering! We use evidence and a combination of holistic practices (movement, nutrition, education) to support the innate power and responsibility of this process.

Nourishment – Families of all kinds must be nurtured. This means access to resources, community engagement, and loving care for the whole family from conception through the 4th trimester.
